Thank goodness!! *big sigh of relief* I made it into orchestra! I was really worried for a little bit. Not that I didn't think I would make it into orchestra, but I found out that there is a total of 46 horn players in the school of music and since only 20 people are accepted into orchestra I got a little nervous... I didn't make it into the top group, but I see that as a chance for improvement and a good way to monitor my improvement within the ranks. It should be interesting. It has been a very very long time since I was in a horn community this large.

On a lighter note I have finally pulled myself out of my pensive, quiet mood. It took a while, but luckily it is over. I still find myself writing a lot, but at least I don't feel so shitty...

I auditioned for the brass ensemble last night and I think I did really well. I will find out by the end of the day whether I got in and what my placement will be. I am looking forward to it.

Well, I have got to go warm up for my lesson (12:30). I want to sound good for my first lesson of the year.
